Installation of Hearing Loops

Large Room Loop Systems Deliver Wireless, Crystal Clear Audio, From One Audio Source to MANY Listeners in the Audience

Hearing loop systems are designed for spaces where groups of people gather for meetings, presentations or entertainment. Loop systems require these basics: an audio source(s), a loop amplifier(s) and a well designed copper coil loop layout. The size and acoustic properties of the gathering space will dictate the type/size of the loop amplifier(s) and the design for the actual loop — perimeter or phased array.

The goal for all spaces: all brands of telecoil-equipped hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone conduction devices and loop receivers shall have seamless hearing access once they enter the looped space. The international signage for Loop/Telecoil accessibility is truly a “WELCOME!” sign for the hearing impaired.

All installations of hearing loop systems by Audio Directions are based on the fundamentals and requirements of the IEC standard 60118-4. All hearing loops, when installed to this standard, provide an even, no latency and effective signal to all users within the looped area. The hearing loop as installed is guaranteed 100% compliant with relevant specifications in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the ADA Standards for Accessible Design (2010);  ANSI Safety Standards and ANSI Electrical Codes and Standard; and the IEC standard 60118-4.
